Have you ever had a bad day? How did you feel?
A bad day is not the end of the world. Sometimes all hell is breaking loose in our lives, disappointments here and there, financial problems, health issues, family problems, work problems and the list goes on. But we have to remember that life is not a smooth sailing road where everything is going to go according to our plans and where no problems exist.
Wouldn't you just love to have everything you want and everything going your way?
The reality is that no matter how wealthy we are or how spiritually minded we are, bad days are inevitable, disappointments are unavoidable.
We are going to have bad days, but we should not allow our bad days to get into the way of our relationship with God, how we feel about ourselves and how we deal with or communicate with others.
Things to do when you are facing a bad day.
1. Don't allow the situation to consume you - Sometimes we allow one bad experience to over take our actions to the point where we just stop talking to the people we love and it lowers the confidence we have in ourselves.
2. Pray to God about the problem - Whenever we are facing bad days or difficult situations, it is always the best thing to talk to God in prayer. I don't know if it ever happened to you, but when you lay all your problems on the table before God, it gives you peace of mind. When we cast our cares upon God, he promises to answer and to supply our needs. The Bible says ask and it shall be given, seek and you shall find. The Lord sometimes answers us indirectly, if we look through our spiritual eyes, we will see what he is showing us, if we listen carefully, we will hear him speaking to us.
3. Find someone close to you to talk to about the problem - If you can find someone to talk to, this will aid in the process. Do not keep problems to yourself, it can destroy you mentally.
4. Try to think about or focus on something that will make you happy and take your mind from the problem - Think about your family who you love to be around everyday, think about an experience you had that was good, a day at the beach, an event that was full of excitement. This will distract you from the problem for a while until it comes again into your thoughts.
5. Think positive thoughts - Say good, positive things to yourself. I am brave, I am smart, God is working it out, this too shall pass, I will overcome.
Remember, God will not give you more than you can bear. No problem is too big for God to handle or take you through.
